School Ski Trip a Big Success!

Last week, students from Ysgol Y Gogarth swapped classrooms for snow as they headed off on our much-anticipated ski trip. After an early start, everyone was more than ready to hit the slopes!

Whether it was students skiing for the very first time or confidently tackling steeper runs, there was plenty of progress (and a few funny tumbles) along the way. Ski lessons during the day helped everyone build confidence, while evenings were spent relaxing, playing games, and sharing the best moments from the slopes.

The trip was a brilliant mix of challenge, teamwork, and fun, and a huge thank-you goes to the staff who organised the visit and supported students throughout the week. Judging by the smiles — and the tired legs — it’s safe to say the ski trip was a highlight of the term!

Yr wythnos diwethaf, fe wnaeth disgyblion Ysgol Y Gogarth gyfnewid ystafelloedd dosbarth am eira wrth iddynt fynd ar eu taith sgïo hirddisgwyliedig. Ar ôl cychwyn yn gynnar, roedd pawb yn fwy na pharod i daro’r llethrau!

Boed yn ddisgyblion yn sgïo am y tro cyntaf neu’n mentro’n hyderus i lawr rhediadau serth, roedd llawer o gynnydd (a rhai cwympiadau doniol!) ar hyd y ffordd. Helpodd y gwersi sgïo yn ystod y dydd bawb i feithrin hyder, tra treuliwyd y nosweithiau’n ymlacio, chwarae gemau, a rhannu’r eiliadau gorau o’r llethrau.

Roedd y daith yn gymysgedd wych o her, gwaith tîm a hwyl, ac mae diolch enfawr yn mynd i’r holl staff a drefnwyd y daith ac chefnogodd y disgyblion drwy gydol yr wythnos. Yn ôl y gwên ar wyneb pawb a coesau blinedig, mae’n deg dweud mai’r daith sgïo oedd uchafbwynt y tymor!
