Family & Community Engagement

Angharad was appointed as our Family and Community Engagement Officer in 2014, following a distinguished 25-year tenure as a HLTA at Ysgol Y Gogarth.

In her role, Angharad acts as a liaison between the school and families, providing support and assistance to ensure a welcoming environment. She facilitates connections with various organisations and online resources, organises gatherings for families to socialise, coordinates workshops and courses, and meets with families to address individual needs and concerns.

A significant aspect of Angharad's responsibilities involves offering information, support, and advice to parents. This includes directing families to relevant organisations and websites, establishing partnerships with community services, arranging workshops, and providing personalised support for families and their children within the school environment.

Angharad is readily available to meet with families to address specific needs or concerns. For any enquiries or additional information, families are encouraged to directly contact Angharad at the school.

Previous Events

On Thursday, 1st of October, Helena Tallon (Senior Clinical Psychologist) who works with the Child and Adolescent Learning Disabilities Service (CALDS) joined us for our coffee morning.

Helena was interested in finding out about the experiences of parents caring for a child with learning disabilities, and was keen to think of how the service could support parents more.
