Pupils in Cyfnod 4 and 5 recently enjoyed an inspiring and insightful session with our Physical Literacy Co-ordinator, Aaron Jones, who shared his experiences of refereeing at the highest level of international football.

Aaron spoke to pupils about his role in officiating the Sweden v Greece full international match, which was broadcast live on television. He gave a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to referee, discussing the preparation, focus, and professionalism required to perform while being watched by millions all over the world!
Pupils were particularly engaged as Aaron described the atmosphere of the match, the pressures of making split-second decisions, and the importance of communication and teamwork with fellow officials. His story highlighted not only the demands of elite sport, but also the exciting opportunities that can come from dedication and hard work.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to connect their learning in physical literacy with real-world experiences, and to be inspired by someone from within their own school community achieving success at an international level.
If it's a bit long winded you can condense it!Â
