On March 21st, we had an extra special day celebrating both World Down Syndrome Day and Red Nose Day.
To mark World Down Syndrome Day, pupils were encouraged to wear blue and yellow OR bright/odd socks in support of the Down syndrome community. The date, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was chosen to represent the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.

For Red Nose Day, the school council organised a fantastic Danceathon, bringing everyone together for a fun and energetic event to raise funds for a great cause.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so special! Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm, we raised a grand total of £161!
