Congratulations to the pupils of Ysgol Y Gogarth, who took part in our Disability Hate Crime Awareness Project. We are so proud of their final piece of work they've created for their school.

They participated in a 5 week workshop built of educational and creative elements, designed to develop their understanding around protected characteristics and hate crime.

Culminating into a final presentation which they watched for the first time yesterday, in their own screening. It was such a lovely event.

They were joined by a local officer who supported one of the educational sessions, which the pupils loved to see him again. Plus, special guest North Wales Police Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin who helps present the awards.

PCC Dunbobbin: "It was a pleasure to join the award-giving event for STAND North Wales CIC's Disability Hate Crime Awareness Project with Ysgol y Gogarth and to see the outstanding work of the students in raising awareness around - and tackling - hate crime. I would like to congratulate everyone involved on their innovation and imaginative work to bring the project to life. It's important to make sure all members of our community know that North Wales is a place where all people are welcome and respected and where hate crime will not be tolerated, and that there is always someone to turn to if you experience crime".

The final project presentation, from the pupils of Ysgol Y Gogarth as part of the Disability Hate Crime Awareness. They were amazing 😃

Llongyfarchiadau i ddisgyblion Ysgol Y Gogarth, a gymerodd ran yn y Prosiect Ymwybyddiaeth Troseddau Casineb Anabledd. Rydym mor falch o'u darn olaf o waith y maent wedi'i greu ar gyfer eu hysgol.

Cymeron nhw ran mewn gweithdy 5 wythnos a adeiladwyd o elfennau addysgol a chreadigol, a gynlluniwyd i ddatblygu eu dealltwriaeth o nodweddion gwarchodedig a throseddau casineb.

A arweiniodd at gyflwyniad terfynol a wylion nhw am y tro cyntaf ddoe, yn eu dangosiad eu hunain. Roedd yn ddigwyddiad mor hyfryd.   Ymunodd swyddog lleol â nhw a gefnogodd un o'r sesiynau addysgol, roedd y disgyblion wrth eu bodd yn ei weld eto. Hefyd, ymwelwr arbennig y Comisiynydd Troseddau Heddlu Gogledd Cymru, Andy Dunbobbin, a helpodd i gyflwyno'r gwobrau.PCC Dunbobbin: "Roedd yn bleser ymuno â'r digwyddiad gwobrwyo ar gyfer Prosiect Ymwybyddiaeth Troseddau Casineb Anabledd STAND Gogledd Cymru CIC gydag Ysgol y Gogarth ac i weld gwaith rhagorol y myfyrwyr wrth godi ymwybyddiaeth o amgylch - a mynd i'r afael â - throseddau casineb. Hoffwn longyfarch pawb a oedd yn rhan ar eu harloesedd a'u gwaith dychmygus i wireddu'r prosiect. Mae'n bwysig sicrhau bod pob aelod o'n cymuned yn gwybod bod Gogledd Cymru yn lle lle mae croeso i bawb a'u parchu a lle na fydd troseddau casineb yn cael eu goddef, a bod rhywun bob amser i droi ato os byddwch chi'n profi trosedd".

Cyflwyniad terfynol y prosiect, gan ddisgyblion Ysgol y Gogarth fel rhan o'r Prosiect Ymwybyddiaeth Troseddau Casineb Anabledd!Roedden nhw'n anhygoel 😃
