| Pioneer School
Ysgol y Gogarth is proud to have been selected by the Welsh Government as a Pioneer School focussing on curriculum design and development. As a school we will contribute specifically to the design of the Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) Science and Technology.

| Autism Accreditation
Ysgol y Gogarth is the first maintained special school in Wales to be granted the Autism Accreditation. Over the last few years we have been successfully accredited from the National Autistic Society (NAS) demonstrating our continuous support and provision to all pupils with an ASD diagnosis. In recent years, Ysgol Y Gogarth received basic Accreditation and in 2020 Ysgol Y Gogarth then went on to achieve Advanced Status demonstrating a higher level of expertise in Positive Behaviour Support, classroom structure and with a wide range of communication strategies.
