Mr Aaron Jones - Physical Literacy Coordinator

My Ysgol Y Gogarth story started in 2016 when I undertook a work placement within the P.E department at school, this as part of my Sport and Exercise Sciences Degree at the University of Chester. I had an instant connection with the pupils and was fortunate enough to stay working at school for a further 5 years as a teaching assistant. This lead to my current appointment as Physical Literacy Coordinator, a position I feel completely honoured to hold. I am passionate about physical activity and exercise and will work avidly with all of our pupils in order for them to live healthy and happy lives during and most importantly, after school life.

Outside of school I am a Welsh premier league referee, this permits me to travel the length of the country and also into Europe refereeing high profile football matches. I love the welsh countryside and take advantage of living in such a beautiful area by regularly exploring our many peaks and summits. I am also a keen darts player and compete regularly whilst following the professional game across the UK.
